StoryArc was founded by Gowri Buddiga and Sydney Throop, two campaign operatives who bring deep campaign management experience and a shared mission of building smarter tools for the progressive ecosystem. Gowri developed her expertise organizing and operationalizing campaigns across competitive races—while Sydney spent years on the front lines of campaigns and at political tech companies, Relentless and Movement Labs.
The two met while participating in the LOFT Executive Leadership program in collaboration with Georgetown University McDonough School of Business, where political operatives come together to learn business frameworks and apply them back into the political world. During the final capstone project, Sydney and Gowri partnered to design a solution for a persistent challenge on political campaigns and organizations—and from that collaboration, StoryArc was born.
StoryArc combines real-time plan visualization, structured media analysis, and AI-supported insights to give Democratic campaigns a unified view of their paid media strategy — replacing spreadsheet chaos with clarity. Campaign managers and consultants can upload plans into one standardized system, compare versions across TV, digital, and mail, spot storytelling gaps, and make confident pivots when polling or rapid-response moments arise. Built by Sydney’s political-tech expertise and Gowri’s hands-on campaign leadership, StoryArc lives at the intersection of mission and innovation to help teams move faster, collaborate better, and measurably win.
